The Clay County Utility Authority is always working to provide
better utility services to our customers and to expand our service area, while causing
as little inconvenience as possible. The Authority currently has construction crews
working on projects in the following areas:
Fiddlers Ridge - Meter Retrofitting
New "smart meters" are being installed.
These new meters use technology to read water meters and store the readings in a
computer as an operator drives down the road! The meter reader does not have
to leave the vehicle. In the long run, this new system will reduce labor cost
and virtually eliminate data entry errors.
