Current Projects

The Clay County Utility Authority is always working to provide better utility services to our customers and to expand our service area, while causing as little inconvenience as possible. The Authority currently has construction crews working on projects in the following areas:

Doctor's Lake Drive Utility Extension Project

The Clay County Utility Authority and their subcontractors will be working in and around the right-of-way of Doctor’s Lake Drive between Greenridge Road and Woodveil Lane. Crews will install a new water main and related appurtenances. The project is scheduled to begin January 6, 2020, and last approximately ninety (90) days. During that time, to ensure the safety of workers and the general public, travelers in the area can expect intermittent vehicular lane and pedestrian path closures within the project limits. Doctor’s Lake Drive is not expected to be fully closed at any time and detours will not be required. Within the limits of the project, the pedestrian pathway has no intersecting paths to which users can be safely diverted. For this reason, the pathway will be closed when necessary to protect public safety.

Whenever you have any new construction along an existing developed road, it is impossible to keep from inconveniencing people to a certain extent as we excavate to install our new water main.

Our employees and subcontractors have been instructed to be courteous and considerate of your needs. Therefore, if you encounter any problems with our staff, subcontractor, or the restoration work that is done, then we certainly invite you to call our office, and we will be glad to respond to your concerns.

Thank you for your patience as we continue our efforts to improve the community in which we all live and work.
